From the North of Italy

  • When you find yourself between Caserta and Naples go straight until you reach the exit of the toll road in Naples. After the toll booth, follow the signs to A3 Reggio Calabria / Peninsola Sorrentina and after about 20km, this road will lead you onto the motorway, with Naples on your right hand side.
  • At the next toll booth you will have to pay €2 (be careful not to get into the lane for ‘viacard’ or ‘telepass’ unless you own one). Carry on along the A3 motorway for about 18km, and exit at ‘Castellammare di Stabia’ (right after the exit for Pompei).
  • After the toll booth go left, follow the signs to Sorrento.
  • After about 2km, turn left onto a flyover that brings you to ‘strada statale SS145’ passing through two tunnels and running along the road to Sorrento.
  • When you enter the third tunnel, you will go past the town of ‘Vico Equenese’, and after about 6km you will reach the town ‘Meta di Sorrento’.
  • Continuing on the main street, namely ‘Piano di Sorrento’ and then ‘Sant’Angelo’, you will arrive in Sorrento (as soon as you go over the bridge).
  • Proceed until the crossroads and turn left onto ‘Via degli Aranci’, keeping to your right.
  • Keep going on ‘Via degli Aranci’ until you reach the Hospital (Ospedale).
  • At the crossroads you will see an Esso petrol station on your right, turn right here and position yourself as if you wanted to go in to top up your fuel.
  • Continue forward for about 30 metres then turn right onto ‘Via del Mare’, carry on another 600 metres and you will reach the ‘Hotel del Mare’.

ATTENTION: Between Caserta and Naples you will see on your left a diversion with a sign saying ‘autostrada A30.’ We do not advise that you take this route as it will take more time and will add an extra 40 kilometres to your journey, compared to the ‘Castellammare di Stabia’ exit.

  • Continuing on the main street, namely ‘Piano di Sorrento’ and then ‘Sant’Angelo’, you will arrive in Sorrento (as soon as you go over the bridge).
